Careers – Media Planner/Manager

In this position, as with many Spitballers, you will apply your skills cross functionally. Managing our clients media planning and buying needs whiles managing multiple brands executional needs on social.

Spitball holds all employees to also drive meaningful impact across the agency. We expect this person to elevate Spitball’s media capabilities from planning to content creation.

Primary Responsibilities

Media Planning & Buying:

  • Taking ownership of the complete media planning and buying cycle across all channels (video, audio, OOH, digital and social) with supervision of the Strategy Director
  • Developing media plans according to each client’s marketing cycle
  • Collaborating with our creative team to maximize campaign ideation
  • Utilizing in-house research tools to craft audience personas and channel allocations
  • Presentation of media plans and tactics across clientele
  • Coordination and negotiation of plans with vendors across all channels
  • Working with our programmatic partners to ensure proper set up and execution of digital campaign
  • Setting up and execution of paid media within self-service platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Spotify and Google Ads
  • Proper trafficking of all assets and working with the account team to ensure all media deadlines are met, including setting up digital campaigns in DCM
  • Working with the account team to ensure proper billing of all media schedules
  • Reporting across clients (monthly, quarterly, etc.)

Social Media

  • Working with the Strategy Director and Digital Manager to develop CPG clientele’s social media strategy in line with overall digital strategy
  • Creation and execution of monthly organic content calendars across Spitball’s CPG clientele, including:
    • Organizing and co-leading monthly content planning meetings with agency creative team
    • Working with the creative and account team to ensure any creative needs are delivered on time and to correct spec
    • Scheduling and posting of organic content
  • Social Listening and engagement across all brands social media channels
    • Utilizing Spitball’s social listening tools to actively monitor all brand mentions and engaging with appropriate conversations around the brands
    • Keep track of all post-worthy UGC and re-posting across brand’s owned social media channels
    • Monitoring any trends and making recommendation on what trends to engage with from a brand perspective
    • Responding to any customer service questions from the brand’s audience on social channels and elevating to the customer service team when necessary
  • Research & Reporting
    • Track and analyze social media content performance and analytics as related to client goals for social media; adjust social media plan as necessary
    • Create monthly or quarterly content and social listening recaps for clients including, but not limited to, content performance insights and optimizations, social listening recap on category and competitors

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of agency or brand experience managing and planning paid media budgets
  • Experience working with social media either through organic or paid development
  • While a bachelor’s degree is preferred, it is not requires as long as there is a demonstrated skill and experience in the social media space
