We are looking for a highly creative, versatile writer to join our team in a freelance position that could be longterm or full-time for the right candidate. Your passion for ideas must come through in impeccable writing. This is more than a traditional writer, it is as much of an idea-person who digs deep into our clients’ business and the target audience insights to tell a brand’s story, captivate the audience and succinctly educate. Our clients and projects are diverse – as will be the work you touch. Your writing style will need to be diverse and acclimate to the needs of the client. One moment you may be writing technical content and the next you make be writing web copy for a new brand. Being able to transition between writing styles and tones is key. You’ll be expected to work on:
- Campaign concepts
- Headlines and message hierarchy
- Commercial storyboards
- Video production scripts
- Social media posts
- Various advertising and marketing materials
The ideal candidate would preferably have agency experience and be able to work closely with our team at our office on occasion. Collaboration through the strategy, creative and implementation processes will be critical. The agency exudes creativity and is ideal for a creative-driven writer. This position may require some travel for client meetings, research and focus group insights.
Our office is lined with 100 year old brick and an open floor plan. The only doors are in the conference room. Dozens of great restaurants and shops are right outside in what we describe as a cool little town (that’s on a river, a quick drive to the shore and still close enough to the city). It is great for an afternoon stroll to soak in the kinetic energy of the town whenever a creative block hits.
