A series of ads were created including crabs, fish, and dogs were created that spoke to the many options Red Bank has to offer.
Red Bank is a shopping and dining destination but it needed a clear message to communicate how its different than other small towns in NJ. Too often small towns all across America use the typical “Shop, dine, live” as their marketing message. Spitball knew it could do better for its hometown.
Spitball looked at not only surrounding towns but also popular small town destinations in the U.S. to see where the opportunity was. We also tapped into interviews and surveys to determine what Red Bank offers beyond storefronts but as a benefit to those who visit.
With diverse shops and restaurants, but not typically used for multi-day stays at their hotels, Spitball gave birth to the idea of “Escape for a Little While.” This communicated that whether you are a mom with kids, corporate lunch-goers, or friends looking for something different, Red Bank offers something for everyone. But how do we take this creative message and bring it to life with creative visuals? Spitball wanted to move away from the boring over used town visuals of happy people walking down the sidewalk. We took unexpected objects and transported them out of their environments to break the mold of town marketing.
