Picture Party

The challenge of today’s photo apps are they are now dominated by everything but photos. Organizing photos into albums is a lost art. And sharing photos has become a cumbersome storage-sucking, feed-feeding process that isn’t very social. This is where Picture Party has come to help you take back your photos and how to share them.

The Creative Process

When developing a logo, we believe it should have meaning but does not need to be bogged down by every aspect of every element. We took inspiration from the true power of a photo – from the moment you felt compelled to capture the memory, to the story a collection of photos tell, and the joy it gives someone when you share in these special moments.

Each aspect of the iconography inspired the final logo for Picture Party. The logo embodies the three core benefits and aspects of the app as the foundation of the brand, ultimately surrounding the audience with photos that matter to them. It can be seen as a vintage Kodak® slide projector to a concentric array of Polaroids® to modern day carousel of posts. The subtle P in the logo recedes purposely to allow your photos take the spotlight.

Camera-Ready Campaign

You can’t just build an app, and hope they will tap. Spitball created an audience and story-centric campaign that focused on key use cases for the app that helped reinforce the issue with other photo sharing options.

Picture-Perfect Landing Page

Based on Spitball’s past success of promoting apps and the benefit of optimizing campaign performance, the campaign drove users to a dedicated landing page rather than directly to the app store. With attention spans as short as a flash, Spitball created a concise, one-page landing page to quickly communicate the benefits of the app and entice downloads.
